About
Who you're actually hiring
HabeshaHire is one person — its founder — plus modern AI tools. [FOUNDER STORY GOES HERE: name, photo, background, why this business exists.] Based in Aotearoa New Zealand; working with Habesha businesses across Australia, North America, Europe, the Gulf, and East Africa — in English, Amharic, and Tigrinya.
How one person delivers all this
Honestly — because that's the question you should ask.
- AI-accelerated building, human-owned judgment. Modern AI tools write much of the code; the founder designs, reviews, tests, and stands behind every line. That's why fixed prices are possible at these levels — you're not paying for typing, you're paying for judgment and accountability.
- Deliberately boring technology. Every build uses stable, mainstream tools any developer can maintain. No exotic frameworks, no lock-in, nothing only we can fix.
- One build at a time. We take one build and one research project at a time — you'll know the next open slot before you commit. Slower to book — but the project you get has full attention.
- The timezone works for you. New Zealand evenings are morning in Addis Ababa, Nairobi, and Dubai — live collaboration hours most Western agencies can't offer. For North America, work happens while you sleep and lands in your afternoon.
The continuity promise
"What happens if you get hit by a bus?" Fair question for any one-person company. Here's the written answer:
- You own everything, from day one. Domain, hosting, code, and accounts are registered in your name — never held hostage in ours.
- Everything is documented. Every project ships with a plain-language handover file: where things live, how to update them, who to call.
- A backup plan, honestly stated. We're contracting a named backup developer for emergencies. Until that's signed, your documented handover means any competent developer can take over quickly — that's exactly what it's for.
- Leave anytime. Care plans cancel with 30 days' notice and end with a clean, documented handoff. No exit fees, no hard feelings.
Where we stand
Our community is wide — Ethiopian and Eritrean, across many languages, faiths, and regions. HabeshaHire works for all of it and takes no side in any of it. We also know "Habesha" isn't a word everyone uses for themselves — every Ethiopian and Eritrean business is welcome here, whatever you call home. No political donations, no aligned festivals, no flags on this site. If you see us break that rule, call it out — the neutrality is the point.
Practical details: HabeshaHire is a New Zealand–registered company, invoicing formally in USD. Client confidentiality is contractual, and we use business-grade AI tools whose terms keep your data out of training sets.
